What is the big deal about Apple CarPlay or Android Auto? Both of these options allow you to connect your phone to your car stereo and seamlessly integrate features like:

• Stream audio from any number of online music services (Pandora, iHeart Radio, TuneIn Radio, Coast2CoastAM etc.)

• Play your music (iTunes or Google Play) over your car stereo (no more CDs in your car

• Use google maps and other navigation software

• Have your text messages read to you while you are in the car allowing you to keep your eyes on the road

• Make and receiving calls without having to touch your phone

Although CarPlay and Android Auto have been on the market for sometime, we have been impressed at how well this head unit performs when integrating our phones. The lag between devices is non existent and the phones with both recognized quickly and all the features worked as expected.
